Sweet Grass Scoops Up Something New

THC-Infused Ice Cream

THC Infused Ice Cream

Sweet Grass Dispensary has always been committed to finding creative ways for customers to enjoy cannabis, and this fall, they’re taking things to an entirely new level: THC-infused ice cream. Customers can now stop by Sweet Grass Dispensary in Union Springs, NY or Seneca Falls, NY to experience the perfect blend of dessert and cannabis enjoyment, with three decadent flavors ready to hit the shelves.

Chocolate A Sweet New Chapter

The idea for cannabis-infused ice cream wasn’t born in a lab—it was inspired directly by customer demand. Throughout the summer, guests on boat tours and visitors at events kept asking: “When will you offer ice cream?” That enthusiasm sparked the decision to move forward, and after months of coordination, Sweet Grass Dispensary  is proud to make the dream a reality.

“Customers kept asking us all summer about ice cream, so we listened,” said LeRoy Halftown, General Manager at Sweet Grass Dispensary. “This launch is all about delivering something fun, delicious, and totally unique for Sweet Grass fans.”

From Idea to Freezer

The development process began in the wake of the annual 710 event, where Cayuga Lake Creamery showcased their ice creams but couldn’t participate due to New York State’s strict infusion license requirements. Recognizing the gap, Sweet Grass Dispensary’s Processing Manager, Kori Halftown, spearheaded a week-and-a-half search for the right partner. The solution came in the form of a licensed external vendor who could handle both manufacturing and THC infusion.

By collaborating with this new partner, Sweet Grass Dispensary was able to fast-track production while maintaining the high quality their customers expect. The result: a lineup of indulgent, cannabis-infused treats.

Strawberry Chocolate Vanilla

Flavors That Deliver

The launch kicks off with three fun, tasty flavors:

  • Vanilla Birthday Cake – a celebration in every bite.
  • Chocolate Sundae – rich, decadent, and topped with the classics.
  • Strawberry Sundae – sweet, fruity, and perfectly refreshing.

Whether you’re winding down after a long day, hosting friends, or pairing dessert with a movie, these ice creams are designed to enhance leisure time in a deliciously unique way.

“We wanted to create a product that blends cannabis with everyday enjoyment,” LeRoy explains. “Ice cream is comfort food—and now it’s a cannabis experience you can savor one spoonful at a time.”

Rolling Out in Union Springs and Seneca Falls

The Union Springs location will be the first to carry the new ice cream. Customers can walk-in, place their orders, and the Budmasters will retrieve their ice cream from the backroom storage cooler.

At Seneca Falls, a slider-style display cooler—similar to the dipping dots setups seen in convenience stores—has been ordered. In the meantime, ice cream will still be available from standard freezer compartments. Once the new equipment arrives, customers can expect a fun, interactive retail display experience.

Sovereign Advantages

Unlike many dispensaries in New York, Sweet Grass operates under Sovereign Nation status. This allows the team to bypass some of the state’s complex licensing restrictions that typically require separate permits for each category of cannabis-infused product—whether gummies, baked goods, or beverages. This unique position gives Sweet Grass the flexibility to innovate quickly and bring exciting new options like THC ice cream to market without the red tape.

A Taste of What’s Next

THC-infused ice cream represents more than just a new product. It’s a symbol of how Sweet Grass Dispensary listens, adapts, and delivers on what customers are asking for. From navigating licensing hurdles to partnering with skilled infusion experts, the Sweet Grass Dispensary team has proven once again that creativity and determination can lead to sweet success.

Stop into Union Springs today—or Seneca Falls next week—to grab a tub of your favorite flavor. Because at Sweet Grass Dispensary, cannabis enjoyment isn’t just about consumption. It’s about experiences worth savoring—one spoonful at a time.
